Gathering Around Mom on Mothers Day

Shirley and Bill Humphries surrounded by family members Diane Kaszycki, Donna and Dale Krauter, Debby and Jeff Stegin; grandchildren Laura, Jenifer, Stacy, Scott, Alyssa, Lafe and his wife Jen Oney and great grandchild, one year old Trent Oney.

Wesley Homes Lea Hill residents Shirley and Bill Humphries celebrated a multi-generational Mothers Day at the Auburn campus in honor of Shirley, the family matriarch.

Families feel comfortable celebrating family traditions at Wesley Homes.  Both campuses are as spacious as they are elegant.  The layout of the Lea Hill campus is planned to anticipate the needs of residents and their guests; whether they’re looking for quiet conversation or desire to entertain a larger group of family or friends in a room where people feel at ease.

“I didn’t know that so many of the grandchildren were going to be able to come, but it worked out just great,” said Shirley, “I want to thank Jenny Grantham for accommodating our large group in the dining room.”

Here’s the great part.  Had they met at a restaurant in town they would have had to reconvene at another location to spend more time together.  But at Wesley Homes they just adjourned to a large sitting room.

“I wanted to pick a place where my youngest grandchild could crawl around and play,” said Shirley.  And so “John’s Club” fit the bill nicely.  “John’s Club”, named after John Eby, is a lounge room designed for informal gatherings.  There are other rooms where people can gather around a game of pool or other activities.

Wesley Homes attracts a mix of people of all ages because the attitude towards socializing is open and inviting. The Wesley Homes community spirit permeates both campuses.

“There’s a lot of social interactivity at Lea Hill campus,” said resident Florence Raab who was enjoying Mothers Day brunch with her friend Claudia Roselle, also a resident.  “Every morning you’ll see people from the village homes and apartments joining us here for continental breakfast in Eby Lodge” said Raab, describing the positive and friendly spirit.

Hello. I skimmed across your web page by accident and was glad that I stopped by. My father and my friends have started doing a significant amount of web research for apartments in Italy and where to stay and other misc. By the way, thanks for the friendly advice – excited I searched it by accident and will remember. After the research I quickly began compiling information about Tuscany apartments for my blog.
