Ribbon-cutting ceremony

We had a wonderfully sunny day for the South 216th Street Sidewalk Project Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Des Moines Campus Administrator Mark Gustafson, Mayor Bob Sheckler, key project contributors and Wesley Homes residents and staff gathered for the ceremonial ribbon cutting Thursday, September 29th.

A time to prepare

Since Sept. 11, 2001, the U.S. Government has worked to increase public awareness of the easy ways we can prepare for natural and man-made emergencies. It established September as National Preparedness Month in 2004. In addition, the Department of Homeland Security has instituted, through Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), its Ready campaign.
