For 20 years, Gloria has been dedicated to serving the residents of Wesley Homes Des Moines in reception and in resident services. Gardens Receptionist Marie Doughty celebrated 20 years with Wesley Homes Retirement Communities. Marie was surrounded by family, residents, co-workers and friends who know what a special lady she is. Thank you Marie for your service and dedication to the residents of Wesley Homes.
Wesley Homes Foundation’s Director of Fund Development Sten Crissey helps package frozen beans for Northwest Harvest. As a member of Seattle Rotary #4, Sten donned two hair nets to give his support to the needy. Thanksgiving is over, but dealing with the craziness of December is just starting. It may not be possible for us to avoid people or situations that push our buttons during the holidays, but we can change our reactions. If there is one time of year that brings out the generosity in people, it’s the holidays. This is the season of goodwill, but funds can be tight in our difficult economy. Don’t let that keep you from donating to organizations that care for sick or disadvantaged children, seniors, the hungry and the homeless. “We aren’t rich, but we have what we need,” said Sarah Davidson. “We have food on our tables, clothes to wear and a home to live in.”
When the recession hit, Sarah was concerned about families, especially those with children, that didn’t have the basic comforts she and her family had.
